Hello there and thanks for popping by today! I'm excited to bring you some inspiration for the New Horizons suite as part of our April All-Star Tutorial Bundle Blog Hop!

The New Horizons suite can be found in our January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue and consists of products that are perfect for creating gorgeous landscape and waterfront scenes. Love the outdoors? Our All Star Tutorial Design team - which consists of 12 talented cardmakers from all over the world - have each designed a project and created a video tutorial showing you step-by-step, how to create the projects. If you love the idea of creating stunning cards and projects featuring these products, these tutorials will be inspiring for you! And for even further inspiration, our design team is doing a blog hop featuring the same suite. Here's my project:

The New Horizons Designer Series Paper (which is a fancy name for pretty patterned paper) does the heavy lifting on this card and requires very little added to it. I layered two different patterns of the paper to create a gorgeous back drop for the card.

I then die cut the picket fences using the Horizon Dies and added them to the card using liquid glue. Using the On the Horizon stamp set, I stamped the greeting onto white cardstock in Evening Evergreen Ink and used the same ink colour to stamp the birds directly onto the paper. 

I had fun with the ribbon - I took a piece of the Gold Fine Art Ribbon and pulled on one of the threads to create a spray of smaller threads which I stuck down onto the card. I then added a bow using the Evening Evergreen Twine from the Fan Baker's Twine Combo pack and stuck down the greeting over top. Lastly, I added some Champagne Rhinestones for extra sparkle cause one can never have enough bling LOL!

Hydrangea Haven All Star Tutorial Bundle Blog Hop

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and welcome! I'm hopping along with my friends on the All Star Tutorial Bundle Design team to share some creative ideas and inspiration using the Hydrangea Hill suite in the January to June Mini Catalogue. 

Each month our Design Team selects one bundle or suite of products in the catalogue and design a project with it. We each create a video tutorial and a PDF containing measurements, supplies and photos. These then get compiled into one document so they can be easily shared and enjoyed. The bundle always contains gorgeous projects created by top performing demonstrators from all over the world.

I couldn't resist using the flower dies in the Hydrangea Dies set to create a little wreath of flowers on this card. The wreath and the Designer Series Paper are really the star of the show. I LOVE the gorgeous watercolored patterns in this designer paper, so many creative possibilities! 

Here are the details for the card:

• I used a Basic White Thick Cardbase measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
• I adhered a panel of Designer Series Paper to the card base measuring 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, covering the front of the card base
• I cut out another panel of Designer Paper using the Stitched Rectangle Dies
• Using Misty Moonlight, Purple Posy and Highland Heather cardstock, I cut the little flowers using the Hydrangea Dies and adhered them to the Gold Hoop
• The sentiment is heat embossed on Misty Moonlight in white and backed by a small strip of the Mercury Acetate sheets included in the suite

The Gold Hoops are a fave embellishment of mine right now...I've been using them to make wreaths with everything - flowers, butterflies, even cacti! I find they're easiest to use with Glue Dots, so be sure to have those close by! A full list of all products used in my project are listed below.

Snailed It Valentine Cards!

Hey hey crafty friend,

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I have some cute cards to share with you today. But first: a little backstory: On World Cardmaking Day, in October 2020, I told my hubby I was preparing for a special Facebook Live. A lightbulb went off and he asked if I'd like for him to join me for my live. Uh, yes please! Doing these lives is often nerve-racking for me, so having an extra body to share the nerves with was completely welcome! Well it turns out, my audience loved having him there, there were so many encouraging and positive comments, it was so fun! You can view the video HERE. We did it one more time during the fall and then, a long hiatus. After receiving a few messages requesting another stamping session with Rahim, we decided to do it again this past weekend. 

When we stamp together, I usually design a card and then we stamp together, as I walk him through step-by-step, how to create the project. This weekend, with Valentine's Day a week away, we decided to make Valentine's Day cards for the kids. We recently watched the movie Turbo (for the 4th time), so it seemed fitting that we use the snails! Here are the finished cards:

I gave Rahim a choice of patterned paper, he chose the Bermuda Bay swirly one. I loved the bright colours of the other paper, so it worked out perfectly. We used the Stitched with Whimsy Dies to create the fun border on the Real Red card base, I just LOVE these dies! They're a bit of a hidden gem in the catalogue and can be easily overlooked. The rest of the dies are from the Snail Dies, which are part of the Snailed It Bundle. I think everything about this whole suite is just adorable!

Here are the details and measurements for these card designs:

• Real Red card base: 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
• Basic White layer: 3 1/8 x 4 3/8
• Designer Series Paper: die cut with Stitched Rectangle Dies (3 x 4 1/4)
• Basic White scrap for postage square die cut: 2 1/2 x 2 1/2
• Basic White scrap for stamping and die cutting - we used blending brushes to apply a light shading of ink on the white square
• Stampin' Blends used to colour: Gray Granite, Pool Party, So Saffron, Real Red and Petal Pink
• Scraps for sentiment and little hearts - we used the 'Hi Valentine' stamp from the January 2021 Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set
• Embellish with Snail Mail twine (white) and Resin Hearts
