Hydrangea Haven All Star Tutorial Bundle Blog Hop

Wednesday, March 03, 2021

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and welcome! I'm hopping along with my friends on the All Star Tutorial Bundle Design team to share some creative ideas and inspiration using the Hydrangea Hill suite in the January to June Mini Catalogue.

Each month our Design Team selects one bundle or suite of products in the catalogue and design a project with it. We each create a video tutorial and a PDF containing measurements, supplies and photos. These then get compiled into one document so they can be easily shared and enjoyed. The bundle always contains gorgeous projects created by top performing demonstrators from all over the world.

Here's a sneak peek of my project for this month's bundle:

And here's my project for today's Blog Hop:

I couldn't resist using the flower dies in the Hydrangea Dies set to create a little wreath of flowers on this card. The wreath and the Designer Series Paper are really the star of the show. I LOVE the gorgeous watercolored patterns in this designer paper, so many creative possibilities!

Here are the details for the card:
  • I used a Basic White Thick Cardbase measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
  • I adhered a panel of Designer Series Paper to the card base measuring 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, covering the front of the card base
  • I cut out another panel of Designer Paper using the Stitched Rectangle Dies
  • Using Misty Moonlight, Purple Posy and Highland Heather cardstock, I cut the little flowers using the Hydrangea Dies and adhered them to the Gold Hoop
  • The sentiment is heat embossed on Misty Moonlight in white and backed by a small strip of the Mercury Acetate sheets included in the suite

The Gold Hoops are a fave embellishment of mine right now...I've been using them to make wreaths with everything - flowers, butterflies, even cacti! I find they're easiest to use with Glue Dots, so be sure to have those close by! A full list of all products used in my project are listed below.

There are SO many possibilities with this gorgeous suite! If you have the suite (or now need to get it), you will definitely enjoy our Tutorial Bundle this month to give you lots of ideas and to take care of the design part of your crafting experience!

Hydrangea Haven Creative Stampers Blog Hop

Hello there and thanks for stopping in!

I'm hopping along with my Creative Stampers Tutorial Bundle friends to bring you some springtime project inspiration. With all the snow that's been falling here in Ontario, I am longing for warmer temps, longer days and beautiful florals and foliage. In the meantime, I'll immerse myself in some spring themed crafting.  For our tutorial bundle for March, our team has created gorgeous spring themed projects using products from the January to June Mini Catalogue. Here's a sneak peek of my tutorial project using the Hydrangea Hill Suite Collection:

Here's a little sneak peek of all of the projects from our Creative Stampers Design Team this month!

Here's the project I'm sharing with you for today's Blog Hop:

Here's the beautiful collection of coordinating products featured as part of this suite:

I stamped the outline image of the hydrangea in Memento Black Ink. For the second hydrangea stamp, I used the 'baby wipe' technique to create some variation in the colouring. To do this, I took 3 baby wipes and folded and stacked them and placed them in a clear stamp case. I used three ink refills - Rococo Rose, Petal Pink and Blushing Bride and applied drops sporadically onto the pile of baby wipes, creating an 'ink pad' to ink up the stamp. Here's what it looked like after I applied the drops:

Here are the details, should you wish to recreate the project:
  • Crumb Cake card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
  • Designer Series Paper Layer: 4 1/2 x 3 1/2
  • Basic White Layer: 3 x 4, embossed with Painted Texture Embossing Folder
  • Die cut smaller flowers from Rococo Rose and Petal Pink cardstock
  • Die cut detailed leaf stem from Pear Pizzazz cardstock
  • Heat emboss sentiment in white onto Basic Black
  • Assemble with Stampin' Seal and Dimensionals and embellish with Linen Thread and pearls

If you'd like more inspiration for this suite and other spring themed projects, you'll definitely want to get your hands on our tutorial bundle this month. Here's how you can get access:
