Hello there and thanks for stopping in!
I'm hopping along with my Creative Stampers Tutorial Bundle friends to bring you some masculine project inspiration. Do you struggle with creating masculine cards? I sure do! Perhaps it's because - oh I dunno - I love to add jewels and ribbon to my projects and love pink? Gimme all the frilly and sparkly things haha!
Here's the project I'm sharing for today's hop:
More on this card in a bit, let's chat about this month's tutorial bundle.
For my tutorial project this month, I decided to pull out the new Party Puffins Stamp Set. It's in our new Annual Catalogue, which launched on May 4th and it's SO STINKIN' CUTE! Amiright?? I think it would work to make cards for anyone of any age, male or female! And it's got great sentiments that can be used for a variety of occasions. Here's a sneak peek of my project for this month's tutorial bundle:
Here's a little sneak peek of all of the projects from our Creative Stampers Design Team this month! You can find out how to get this tutorial bundle for free down below.
Back to my card for today. I created a simple card using just some stamps, ink and paper. I did die cut the label, but this could easily just be cut out using your paper trimmer. As a busy mom of three, time is often limited (and so is the creative mojo sometimes)...and when that happens, I just stick to a simple card design with a few elements.
The patterned paper (also known as Designer Series Paper) is a great backdrop for these cuties and I drew from the paper when deciding what colours to use for the colouring. I of course, had to add a few little embellishments, but was able to stay true to the masculine theme.
You won't find this paper in the patterned paper section of the new catalogue, that's because it's an exclusive paper pack! This paper pack includes 48 sheets of fun and vibrant paper and on the flip side of each pattern, you'll find awesome black and white patterns! When you place an order of $200 or more or gather some friends to submit a group order, you will earn rewards that you can use to order this paper. It's the ONLY way to get it.
Here are the details, if you're inspired to recreate this project!
- Granny Apple Green card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
- White layer: 5 3/8 x 4 1/8
- Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4 x 4
- White layers for stamping: 2 x 3 (2 pieces)
- Crushed Curry scrap - for sentiment label
